On Saturday evening August 6th the David Yurman Scottsdale Boutique hosted a beautiful event to support Chances for Children. Guests were treated to tasty appetizers, desserts and champagne provided by Benedict’s Caterers as well as an amazing shopping experience. I photographed the guests mixing and mingling and trying on some unbelievably beautiful jewelry. I fell in love with the Quatrefoil necklace pictured above it definitely went on my wish list. The best part was that 10% of everything that was purchased at the event went directly to the Chances For Children Organization. I had the opportunity to chat with Nicole from Chances for Children and she explained to me how she traveled to Haiti each month to take care of the children at the orphanages. She showed me pictures of many of the children and talked about them like they were her own. It was very interesting to me because I have always seen those shows on TV and wondered if the money really went to the children that you sponsored. Nicole informed me that for just $1 a day you can support an orphaned child, and know that they will receive 2 hot meals a day, shelter, clothing, medical care, and even help an older child go to school. They are also committed to helping these children with emotional support and spiritual growth. You even get the opportunity to know your child, write to them and watch them as they grow and prosper. It is so great to know that there are such wonderful organizations to help the less fortunate and to see companies like David Yurman supporting them. On Friday night, the City of Tempe and West 6th VIP’s gathered in the lobby to celebrate the “Sweet Life” grand opening of the already sold out first tower. Guests had the opportunity to tour the property including the amazing 7th floor resort style pool area. The music was jamming, the champagne and chocolate were flowing and the MADCAP entertainment was out of this world. Check out all of the pictures at www.perfectpartypictures.com .

On Saturday June 23rd the Arizona Biltmore Resort hosted “Hollywood and Vines” as part of the Hollywood and Wine summer series. Guests were invited to sip on various wines from some of the amazing Arizona wineries. The hosts of the TV show “Hollywood and Vines” Jason Priestley and Terry David Mulligan mingled and sipped with the guests while they taped an episode of the show. The women (myself included) were especially giddy to meet Jason Priestley aka Brandon from the 90′s TV show Beverly Hills 90210!
A little bit about Hollywood and Vines….
“HOLLYWOOD & VINES” is a high energy weekly half-hour series celebrating wine and the celebrities who love it. Priestley and Mulligan explore the best in wine, food and travel and take viewers along for the ride. “Hollywood & Vines” mixes enthusiastic vintners, wine festival goers, star chefs, sommeliers, restaurateurs and celebs in a quick-witted documentary style program that crushes all aristocratic wine barriers.
Bethenny Frankel came to Scottsdale, Arizona on Thursday July 13th to meet and greet her fans and sign bottles of Skinnygirl. I had the awesome opportunity to hang out with Bethenny and her staff and take pictures of her with her fans. I couldn’t believe how many dedicated fans came out to the two events and stood in line in the 110 degree heat to meet her! A lot of the fans brought her gifts including baby clothes, flowers and even a home made blanket. They had to cap the number of people to 200 at each event so at the end of the signing there were several people that did not get the chance to meet her. So she walked out into the crowd and hugged and shook hands with them and even signed more merchandise. I thought that was pretty cool! Check out the pictures at www.perfectpartypictures.com
Here’s a little bit about Bethenny from Wikepedia…..
Frankel was one of the seven women featured on Bravo‘s series The Real Housewives of New York City.[5] On June 10, 2010, Bravo TV premiered a series spinoff, Bethenny Getting Married? which follows Frankel through the planning of her wedding to the birth of her daughter and life with her husband Jason Hoppy. The premiere had the highest ratings of any series debut in Bravo history with over 2 million viewers.[6][7] In September 2010, Frankel confirmed after months of speculation that she would not be returning to the “Housewives,” stating that last season was too painful after her public falling out with former close friend and cast member Jill Zarin.[8] In February 2011, Bravo TV premiered a second series spinoff, Bethenny Ever After, which follows Bethenny as she balances her successful career with new endeavors as wife of Jason Hoppy and mother of Bryn Casey Hoppy.
In March 2009, Frankel’s first book, Naturally Thin: Unleash Your SkinnyGirl and Free Yourself from a Lifetime of Dieting, was published by Fireside. In December 2009, her second book, The SkinnyGirl Dish: Easy Recipes for Your Naturally Thin Life was published, also by Fireside. She released an exercise DVD, Body by Bethenny, in spring 2010. The Skinnygirl Rules, an audiobook read by Frankel, was described as a summary of the first two books. She is currently working on two more books, A Place of Yes, and Naturally Fit Pregnancy, as well as a skincare line
In November 2010, Frankel competed on the ABC reality series Skating With The Stars. Frankel finished as runner-up to champion Rebecca Budig.
In April 2011, Frankel sold her Skinnygirl cocktail line to Fortune Brands’ Beam Global for an estimated $120 million.
On July 10, 2011 Phoenix, Arizona was the proud host of the MLB All-Star Taco Bell Legends and Celebrity Softball Game. I had the exciting opportunity to cover the game from the grass of Chase Field!
I began my day covering batting practice at MLB Fan Fest at the Phoenix Convention Center. There was a ton of media on site interviewing the stars as they practiced their batting skills. I found a great spot out of the way to use my favorite lens to zoom in and catch some great shots of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Kate Upton, Softball star Jennie Finch and soccer player Carlos Bocanegra.
Immediately following the batting practice we all headed over to Chase Field for the big game. I arrived early so I grabbed a beer and found a killer seat in the pit right next to the dugout to watch the rest of the World Team Futures game. Just as the World game ended I decided to go into the back to check out the action and ran into all of the celebrity players hanging out getting ready for the game. Talk about being in the right place at the right time!! They were all so nice to pose for some group pictures right before they took the field. I followed them out to the field and got some great shots of the introduction and the game. Celebrities such as Jason Aldean, Nick Jonas, James Denton, Dave Annable and Jordin Sparks suited up alongside former baseball pros including Ozzie Smith, Ricky Henderson Mark Grace and Luis Gonzalez for the five inning matchup. Sharing some photos from a recent commercial shoot I did at Marmi in Scottsdale Fashion Square. The store is filled with the most amazing Italian influenced footwear for both men and women as well as accessories and bags from designers such as VANELi and Sesto Meucci. I was in shoe heaven!
Wow! I had such a great time photographing the Pretty Little Liars Season Premiere party at Chandler Fashion Center last night! The center court of the mall was set up with a huge screen and decorated beautifully with white chairs and white tables adorned with colorful flowers. At about 5:30pm tons of adorable fashionable teenage girls lined up to get the best seat. They were greeted with goody bags fron Chandler Fashion Center and treated to Starbucks beverages, snacks from California Pizza Kitchen and makeup application from Bare Essentuals. The ladies from Teen Board Arizona were on site giving fashion and modeling tips and a brand new store called Lizard Thicket was there to introduce the guests to some of the adorable fashions they carry. At 7pm it was showtime and the guests scurried to get their seats. Devon the marekting director from the mall gave away some fantastic raffle prizes from Victorias Secret, Lizard Thicket and a mall gift card. What a great night for some very excited teenagers (and a 30 something photographer!!). Check out the rest of the pictures at www.perfectpartypictures.com
